IC and Inflammed Gut: How to Deal With It By Diet

I have been looking for answers for IC for quite some time now. I did complete your surveys one recently and previous I think last year. I totally have followed your advice on the Pitta diet and the Aloe Vera gel and now I know I have control over my IC it does not control me anymore. All the pain and suffering I have been though and to know it was just a matter of following this diet and some aloe vera. I am 100 percent better. I have talked to some people on the IC Network and I feel I have been brushed off. Nothing so simple could work, but it did for me. Maybe there are other conditions that cause IC but for me this really does work. I only have myself to blame for bad habits. I do know my urologist that I go to told me my urine was acidic and he had me drink more water,and take some baking soda. I gave him a copy of your diet and information to read. He told me if it works keep it up he told me he would give the diet to his other patients. Thanks, again Dr. Dean TS

For the past three months, I have been that rebel. My cause is 'because I am not allowed to have it' so I will. Yes, I do pay for it down the road, and finally, tonight, I did an indepth meditation, Yoga Nidra, and what was given to me throughout my course of working with you, the two doctors who chose to give up on me, and the guidance of one of the world's best psychologist's is ACCEPTANCE. We must take that one step, no matter how big or small, into the world of acceptance. This is how it is, this is how it must be in order to survive and remain healthy. I know from experience with your recommended acid/alkaline diet, Aloe Vera juice and Apple Cider Vinegar I did daily for 10 months worked for me. It was a challenge for me to stay on track with the diet because I love food, lattes and red wine. When I looked at the list of things I had to avoid, I felt like there was nothing left for me to enjoy in my daily life, but I was determined to recover from this debilitating condition. So I decided to look at the list of foods I could eat and began a new journey of foods that heal the body. I had to avoid all the major culprits, alcohol, meat, dairy, packaged/ processed foods, sugar, caffeine, most fruits and veggies, spices, and my love for chocolate.
